April 2011

**After 6 months off, I finally have my blog itch back and I am going to try to revive this little blog o mine...one month at a time.**
Gabes first Science Experiment:
When Gabe came home from school with the paper about the upcoming science project, we could tell right away that he was excited....he knew exactly what he wanted to do it on (the vortex of the black hole...this probably does not surprise those who know him!)  And once James and I realized that there was no way we could help him on such a task that is more suited for highschoolers, we had to reign him in and move his thoughts to a different vortex, and he nailed it!  He read up about it, tested his theory, and decided on his own if it was actually true or false:

I'm 28!:
James loves me....he let me gather my close friends and head out of town for a weekend of shopping, more shopping, food, really good food, girl talk all the way there and back, staying up late, more shopping....and then coming home to a family who loves me and spoiled me rotten....I am blessed. Signs of the new house!!:
We fell in love with a floorplan in a local development that is right across the street from the brand new Stake Center....and when I say right across the street....I mean right across the street! It is going to be so nice to be able to just walk to church and to activities.  Also, we love the people in the neighborhood! James calls it "little Provo", since everyone knows everyone!!

Gabe is 7!:
A low key birthday, but with lots of excitement thrown in (why can't I find my pictures?! hopefully I will, and add them later)

Tylers Baptism:
As James and I prepare to take on this new role in our lives, the first thing we knew we had to do was to get Tyler baptised.  It was a beautiful baptism, she was surrounded by a WHOLE ROOM of people who love her and support her, while she is still sad, she looks to this baptism as a new step in her life and a great way to start anew.  She takes this very seriously and reads her scriptures and yearns to learn more...we are so very proud of her.

Taking on a new task:
We are now in the process of learning how to be parents to a 9 year old girl who is also my niece.....a very energetic, outspoken, Child of God.  The ones she called her "parents" have decided not to be...I could get into the story...but as close friends know, its a never ending story.  James and I know we can offer her what she didn't have and give her a better shot at being a successful young lady. Please keep her in your prayers.

And another:
Yup!! Another baby on the way!!
Due late September!

Side note since I cannot for the life of me find any photos of December....We moved into my parents house during the building of our new home in late December, had Christmas there, adjusting to a new life for 6 months is not easy....(hopefully I can find my pictures!!)

Selling our first house.....sad......but exciting:
It took us a total of one week to sell our house, we realized we were quickly outgrowing our first nest, the one we raised our two boys in from babies, the one we loved (but also cursed here and there) And it would now be someone elses.  Hopefully it brings them as much happiness as it did us!

We also got to celebrate one last holiday at our house...next time we host one...we will have lots more room!!

Getaway 2010:

James and I were blessed to be able to get out of town without the boys (thank you so much Judy!!) We spent part of our time in New York City, eating at local delis, riding the subway, walking till our muscles wouldn't let us walk one more step (this really happened and it hurt!), sight seeing, and enjoying every minute....in a New York minute.

Successful 1st ride on the subway, we were old pros by the time we left

The feeling....was amazing, Ground zero

The rest of the trip was spent in Washington DC taking in history, enjoying seeing some family, playing some games of 5 crowns, and trying to enjoy every second before we had to head back to parental duties.

Gettysburg...actually one of our favorite places, had a great guide (James Uncle)

Halloween 2010:
Gabe and Nolan had decided early in the year that they were going to be Mario and Luigi for Halloween.  Last minute, Gabe heard on the bus that the scarier the costume, the more candy you get.....which then led to Zombie Mario...it didn't result in more candy, but it did make for some good laughs and some good memories.
Waaaahoooo!

Family Reunion in Bear Lake:
What do I remember? Great weather, really yummy food, lots of swimming, cards, and a wild game of Minute to Win it.  A success indeed.

Quick trip to visit Erin Liam and Matt, just me and the boys:
Quick, too quick, lots of fun, girl talk, the zoo, and a trip back with the boys on the train, which they loved every minute.
